    // August 24th, 2007

    For about a year now, I’ve been dreaming about building this studio with this huge backlight and lighted platform. I saw one in action today. Crazy…

    I have a few more ideas to build a few more things for my photography. Little things to enhance it further like better lights and backgrounds.

    My First Triathlon

    // August 19th, 2007

    They say your first time is your best. Right, for a lot of things, this is also very true. Not going into details about that but… So, did my first triathlon today. Was in the 4th wave of people starting.

    Started off swimming 0.5 miles on Lake Phalen. I’ve gotten used to swimming 0.5 mile so it’s not a big deal to me. But swimming in the lake along with 50 other people can be a challenge. My friend had warned me about it but there’s really no telling what that’s like until you do it. I finished it in about 18 mins, according to the official times. Considering that I didn’t get to swim my normal way, I’d say that’s okay.

    Post #208

    // August 15th, 2007

    Post #208 is one of the oldest post that I have never gotten to finish. I honestly cannot remember when it was started but it was started because I wanted to express my feelings. Feelings are things that come and go. They mean something at a point in time and then something else makes more sense.

    In My Best Shape

    // August 14th, 2007

    I’m in my best shape ever – I think. Been running at least 2 miles. Doesn’t seem like much but for someone who doesn’t like running and does not run for fun, it’s a lifetime.

    I think I’m ready for the triathlon this Sunday. Been swimming 1/2 miles in the pool a few months now. Hopefully I don’t get intimidated by the other swimmers or the fact that the water tastes funny. I’m also hoping that this pain I’m feeling in my joints will go away by Sunday.

    I wished I have some people supporting my cause. Ah wells, so much for that. I guess I’ll just push myself forward one more time. It’ll be an achievement when I finish under 2 hours.

    Summer 2007′s Trips

    // August 4th, 2007

    This summer, I took a break from major home projects and instead spent my time traveling. Since June, I’ve driven about 2100 miles covering places like Des Moines, Lincoln, Denver, Arches National Park, Las Vegas, Sacramento and San Franscisco.

    And The Tables Turned…

    // August 4th, 2007

    I wrote a lot in the plane. I wrote more than I should on the little keyboard.

    Got lots on my mind. I keep telling myself to control my expectations and I can’t. Definitely expected this to be a great day but it is not. It started okay, got worse and now that I’m in the New York, I feel good being here. Before, I didn’t feel like I needed to get out but I got out today and I’m feeling good again.

    Feeling Good Again

    // August 2nd, 2007

    I get into this rut when I don’t feel like myself at all. For most of this week, I’ve been feeling this way and I think I am finally coming out of this weird state.

    My psychiatrist friend would try to diagnose me for being bipolar but I think feeling like this is natural. I don’t have destructive instincts – just feeling that I should be somewhere and be accomplishing.
