    // July 22nd, 2008

    I realize that it is almost the end of July. As I write, I remembered about the time when I signed up for the Red Ribbon Ride. Back then, it was, it’s in the summer, I’ve got time to train and stuff. Now that it has come and gone, I wondered about what else I needed to accomplish before the end of summer.

    Forgive me but I’m a little disorganized. Lived through the last month without my iPhone – another thing that I’ve become dependent on. This is my last week at work, a place that I’ve grown up with for the last 8 years. I’ll be starting a new job in less than 2 weeks – new place, new responsibilities, new people and new challenges.

    I’m keeping busy as usual… Will hopefully find time to catch up with myself again. :)

    Pre-Ride

    // July 13th, 2008

    I rode with my friend Annie for 45 miles. We rode to Prescott and had lunch there. Rode a little more and I began to realize that heavy lunch and bike riding do not go hand in hand. The next 26 miles from Prescott was quite challenging for me to say the least.

    I definitely felt tired at the end of it. Couldn’t put myself through an extra 3 miles by going through Radio Drive. Instead we took Pioneer Drive straight to my house. I was glad to be off the bike.

    This training ride is nowhere near what I’ll need to do this Thursday through Sunday. I’ll have to do a whole lot more of that. Now I’m scared…

    Upcoming Changes

    // July 7th, 2008

    Well, this is posted for the past…

    Today, I gave my notice that I’ll be leaving my company after July 25. I’ve been there for 8 years. It was my first job coming out of school and I’ve grown up since then.

    Was promoted twice while I was there – first to Advanced Systems Engineer and then Senior Systems Engineer. I’ve built several machines that I still support today. Quite proud of them. They’ve come a long way.

    I will say that my departure definitely caught a few by surprise. It will possibly have pissed a few people off and they will remain nameless.
